Workers' Compensation Law
Serving all of North Carolina Charlotte, Asheville, Greensboro, Wilmington, Durham, and Winston-Salem
Workers’ Compensation law in North Carolina states that all employers with three or more employees must have a Workers’ Compensation policy that provides for weekly payments to cover loss of earning, medical bills, and rehabilitation of anyone hurt at work.
According to North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Law, the injury must be reported within 30 days, and if your employer does not acknowledge your injury, there are steps for you to take. Keep in mind that the more serious the injury is, the more complex the Workers’ Compensation claim will be. The experienced and knowledgeable Workers’ Compensation attorneys at White & Stradley, PLLC can be your legal guide through this complex maze of paperwork, filings, and deadlines.

Your employer, according to North Carolina Workers’ Compensation law, is required to pay:
- Weekly benefits while you cannot work
- Medical expenses
- A lump sum for a partial or total disability as a result of your workplace injury
Regardless of who is at fault, you may be entitled to compensation for your on-the-job injury, and you should actually receive two-thirds of your wages while you’re unable to work. In some cases, you may sue a third party who contributed to your injury.
