Nancy P. White, Retired
After many years of service to Workers’ Compensation clients, Nancy P. White has retired from her active practice at White & Stradley, PLLC., but remains a valued legal consultant.
Nancy P. White is a Vermont native who first came to North Carolina in 1979. She attended the University of North Carolina on a track and field scholarship and graduated in 1983 with honors. She then attended North Carolina Central University, on scholarship, and received her Juris Doctor in 1986.
Professional
Nancy returned to her home state of Vermont after graduating from law school. There, she became a member of the litigation team at DeBonnis, Wright and Winpenny. In 1988, Nancy returned to North Carolina and focused her practice on litigation, personal injury, and Workers’ Compensation.
Nancy founded White & Associates in 1995, which later became White & Stradley, PLLC, LLP. Over the years, she has affected several substantial verdicts for her clients for Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation claims. She has successfully represented clients in the Industrial Commission/Full Commission, Superior Court, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
Currently, Nancy is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Vermont Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers’ Association, and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. She is also a licensed sports agent.
Personal
Nancy grew up on a dairy farm in Vermont where a strong work ethic was instilled at a very early age. She excelled both in athletics and academics in her youth. As a Junior Olympian, she ranked fourth in the nation in the women's heptathlon and excelled in outdoor and indoor track and field competition. Her athletic skills combined with academic success enabled her to earn a scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a member of the Track and Field Team as well as the Women's Basketball Team. She graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983.
Nancy devotes most of her time to being an advocate and voice for those who have been injured, especially those who have been injured at work or in accidents.
Due to her background in athletics, she now represents Division One basketball coaches. Many of the coaches she represents are recognized as the premier coaches in women’s basketball.
When not working, Nancy enjoys playing golf, skiing, and running. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She loves being at her home in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains.
